Dr. Jarik Conrad helps leaders and organizations cultivate the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral capacities that AI cannot replicate, and that quietly determine everything else.

What Event Planners Say

The Story Behind the Message

I do this work because I have seen, up close and at scale, what happens when people cannot close the gap between who they are and who they’re capable of being. I watched it cost my family. I watched it cost colleagues, clients, and entire organizations. The cost is rarely dramatic. It usually looks like a slow leak: smart people making smaller decisions than they’re built for, leaders performing roles instead of inhabiting them, companies confusing motion for progress. The waste of human potential is the most expensive problem I know, and almost nobody is treating it that way.

What I want for the people I work with, whether they meet me on a stage, across a coaching table, or through the products I build, is a transformation in how they think, feel, and perform. Better thinking, because the quality of a life is downstream of the quality of the thoughts running it. Feeling well, physically and mentally, because no strategy survives a depleted body or an overwhelmed mind. Higher performance, because none of this matters if it doesn’t translate into how you show up at work, at home, and in the world. That sequence is not accidental. How we feel shapes how we think, how we think shapes how we perform, and how we perform shapes the life we live. My job is to help you upgrade all three.

My books

In The Fragile Mind, Dr. Jarik Conrad examines the psychological forces behind America’s most persistent disparities. Drawing on neuroscience, behavioral economics, and his own upbringing in East St. Louis, he reveals why smart, well-intentioned people make decisions that harm themselves and others, and what it takes to change.

Humans are capable of remarkable kindness, but our evolutionary wiring can also produce astonishing cruelty. In In Search of Humanity, Dr. Jarik Conrad traces a long history of social and economic inequality, broken government promises, and reform efforts undermined by the industries they were meant to challenge. He argues that the American Dream, as currently constructed, enriches the few at the expense of the many, and that meaningful change will not come from government alone. American companies, many of them complicit in maintaining the status quo, hold a decisive role in bridging the country’s deepest divides.
